During my tenure at Next Level Marketing, I was responsible for overseeing website redesign projects for our diverse clientele. As the Senior UX/UI Designer, my role involved engaging with stakeholders to understand their vision and address any challenges they faced. One memorable project was with Ronnie Wright, the owner of Bespeak Music—a talented ensemble of musicians based in Portland. Their objective was to revamp and enhance their website to better showcase their work and attract new audiences.

  • Overhaul Mobile Experience: Optimizing Mobile by ensuring that it is responsive and efficient.

DISCOVERY PHASE

To design a user experience that resonates with Bespeak Music’s diverse audience, we embarked on an in-depth research journey. Our goal was to gather comprehensive insights into the needs, pain points, and behaviors of the platform’s target users. This involved a multi-faceted research approach:

  • We know that 80% of the users that to Bespeak Music are mostly made up of people aged 30-60.

  • We also know that 45% users are from Europe, and most users language English is not their first language or second language.

  • We know that Bespeak users are interested in learning new events, new music and new artist content.

Key Insights

With this information in hand, we can now create an MVP that our target audience will love, while also tailoring our design efforts to reach them more effectively.

CONCLUSION

The UX overhaul of Bespeak Music was a resounding success. User engagement soared, booking inquiries increased, and feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
